Noosh smart form users can now create a template and specify whether that template is locked or editable when used to create a spec. Similar to how a locked Enterprise spec template work, a locked smart form template cannot become unlocked or edited. It can be deleted from the template listing. A confirmation message will appear when an user is attempting to lock a smart form template.
Usage of Locked Smart Form Template within Noosh Enterprise
During spec creation, users can choose from a drop down list of all available templates for that smart form. Unlocked smart form templates will be indicated by the “editable” text while locked template will not have the “editable” text. If a locked smart form template is selected, a spec is automatically created based on that template. Users will not have a chance to change any contents of that spec during spec creation. Once the spec has been created based on a locked template, the spec will be locked as well and therefore cannot be deleted.
Usage of a Locked Smart Form Template within a Client Workspace
When a client workspace user selects a smart form to start a project, an icon list of available smart form template will appear. Any locked template will be indicated with a “lock” symbol.
Once a locked smart form template has been selected to be used to create a project, users can still enter any project information or upload any files. But the users will not be able to change any of the data within each of the smart form tabs. All fields will become non-editable.
