Once you have a project with at least one spec attached, you can begin to request estimates.
To create an RFE:
- Navigate to the Project Home page.
- Click Estimates in the Project Menu.
- Select Create RFE... from the Estimates drop-down menu.
- If there are no specs associated with the project, you are asked to create a spec.
- Click Create Spec, select a spec and click Continue.
The Update Spec page appears.
- Enter the basic information for the spec and click Update Spec.
- Select Create RFE... from the Estimates drop-down menu.
- Enter basic information for your RFE, then enter at least one Quantity.
Note: The Sub-quantities section only appears if a price breakout has been created for the selected spec. For more information on price breakouts, refer to How to Create a Price Breakout.
- Start typing a supplier name or workgroup in the Select Suppliers field, or click Contacts to select suppliers from your contacts list to receive the RFE.
- Select the suppliers, then click Done.
- Review the information, then click Send RFE.
