How to Invite a Member to a Project Team
You can invite Noosh members to your project team. When you invite members, you can specify their role to determine the privileges they will have on your project.
To invite a team member:
- Navigate to the Project Home page by clicking the Project tab and then clicking the required project name.
- Click Teams in the Project Menu.
- Select Invite Members from the Teams drop-down menu.
The Invite from Address Book page appears.
- Click Contacts... and select the contact(s) you'd like to add. You may also find contacts beginning to type a name into the field. Click Done.
- Click Continue.
- Select a Role, then include an Invitation Message.
- Click Send Invitation.
Note: Don't see the role you need in the Role pull-down menu?
Check with your administrator to get additional roles added to Noosh.
How to Assign Team Roles
You can assign roles to team members when you invite them to a project team. You may also edit the role of existing team members. Roles in Noosh determine the privileges a team member has regarding project activities.
To invite a team member and assign a role:
- Navigate to the Project Home page, then:
- Click Teams in the Project Menu.
- Select Invite Members from the Teams drop-down menu.
- Click Contacts... to access the contact selector, or begin typing a name into the field, then select the contact(s) you'd like to add. Click Done.
- Click Continue.
- Select a role from the Role pull-down menu, then click Send Invitation.
To edit the role of an existing team member:
- Navigate to the Project Home page.
- Click Team in the Project Menu.
- Select List from the Team drop-down menu to see the team list.
- Click the Edit icon in the My Team area next to the team member's role you'd like to edit.
- Select a new role from the Project Role pull-down menu, then click Continue.
- Include an optional message, then click Save.
Note: Why can you only edit the roles of some members?
You can't edit the role of team members from a supplier team. You also may not have the privileges required to edit the roles of other team members. You cannot remove the project owner from the project team.
How to Edit Multiple Team Members/Roles
You can edit multiple teams members details or roles simultaneously.
To edit multiple team members/roles:
- Navigate to the Project Home page.
- Click Teams in the Project Menu and select List.
The My Team page appears.
- Check the boxes beside the members you want to edit.
- Click Edit Selected.
The Team Members Properties page appears.
- Change the project role if required and add a message if required.
- Click Continue.
You are returned to the My Team page which displays the updated member details.
How to Create, Edit, or Delete a Team Template
If you frequently work with the same people or the same roles on projects, you can create a team template. Once created, a team template can be included on any project team. If you know the roles you'd like on a project but not the actual members assigned to the role, you can create a team template with roles as member placeholders.
How to Use a Team Template
You can use a team template to invite members to your project, or you can use a team template to automatically invite team template members at various stages of a project.
To invite team template members to your project:
- Navigate to the Project Home page, then:
- Click Teams in the Project Menu.
- Select Invite Members from the Teams drop-down menu.
- Choose a template from the Invite from Team Template pull-down menu, then click Continue.
- Check the template members you want to include, or assign members to roles. You may also the change roles of template members.
- Include an optional message, then click Send Invitation.
How to Create Workgroup Roles
Privileges are granted on both the workgroup level and on the project level. For example, you may have the workgroup role of a member, but on a project you may have a variety of different roles.
Roles may differ from company to company. Please contact your company administrator about the roles available to you.
