With this enhancement release, the shipment status will automatically update when certain shipment updates are saved. The status can still be edited manually, if you prefer that method.
You will no longer see the red prompts depicted in the screenshot below.
The three ways to update the shipment, which will in turn update the shipment status, are: individual edits, in-line edits, and bulk edits.
Individual edits
Click on the Edit Pencil for the Recipient/Location which will open the Edit Delivery Location page:
There you can add the Shipped/Received Date and/or the Shipped/Received Quantity (be sure to click the Update button to save):
Bulk edits
On the Shipments page, check the box for all of the recipients/locations you need to update, then click the Edit button. This opens the Edit Delivery Location page where you can add the shipped/received date and/or the shipped/received date for each (be sure to click the Update button to save):
In-line edits
Edits made in the Qty fields on the Edit Shipment page will change the status depending on what is entered. Be sure to click the Save button.
Entering a partial quantity in 'Qty Shipped' will update the status to Partially Shipped:
Entering the full quantity in 'Qty Shipped' will update the status to Shipped:
Entering the full quantity in 'Qty Received' will update the status to Delivered (a partial amount will remain as Shipped):
The following is not new, but a good refresher:
Delivery Locations buttons: Click the Shipped button to add today's date to the Date Shipped field, as well as add the Qty Requested into the Qty Shipped field:
Click the Received button to add today's date to the Date Received field, as well as add the Qty Shipped into the Qty Received field:
