Available to: Partners and Customers with Noosh One/MyDesk enabled
The below are updates made to the Contacts and Categories features in Noosh.
Address Book
In an effort to reduce the number of clicks needed to create a new contact within the address book, the user can directly choose to create a Noosh contact (now labelled “Add Shipping Addresses”) or a Non-Noosh Contact, by clicking on the appropriate buttons. (Note: Before, user needs to click on “Add Contact” and then choose “Noosh Contacts” or “Non-Noosh Contacts.”)
The button where you would use to "Add Non-Noosh Contacts" is now labeled "Add Shipping Addresses" and works in the same way. The secondary page that opens to add contact details remains unchanged.
As such, the "Show Contacts from" drop-down selection to filter those (non-Noosh) contacts will read "Shipping Addresses" instead of "Outside My Workgroup." It will only display contacts that are not a Noosh contact.
Additional drop-down selections are also added to the “Show Contacts from” filter. Users can now see only contacts that are deemed as suppliers (“All Suppliers”) or as clients (“All Clients”).
Hover over the contact's name to view the categories that contact is a part of. Click on the category name from the fly-out and go to the Category Details page for that category.
When utilizing the "Find" search field, pressing "Enter" on your keyboard will automatically filter the results list.
Adding a Noosh Contact
Pressing “Enter” on your keyboard will automatically refresh the search results, rather than requiring a click on the magnifying glass search icon.
The search fields will no longer require a wildcard "*" in order to perform a partial name/word search. For example, enter “Print” in the Workgroup field and click Search (or Enter on your keyboard), the results will display all workgroups containing the text “Print.”
If a contact is already added to the contact page, then during search, the user should not be able to select that contact. In the screenshot below, by searching for the partial Workgroup name, two of the contacts have already been added, therefore, they cannot be selected to add.
If only one search result returns and the contact is NOT already added, Noosh will automatically checked checkbox beside the name for easy addition.
For each individual contact, user can add/delete that contact from existing categories via the “Manage Categories” option.
Manage Categories
The top section displays the categories that the selected user belongs to. The bottom section displays the available categories for the workgroup that the selected user can be added to. This will allow a contact to be added to or deleted from the desired categories in a quick and easy manner instead of going into each category and performing the addition or deletion.
Clicking the arrow next to the name will display the users in the category.
Add Category
The Category name and whether it is a Shared Category are required fields. Once the category has been designated as personal (not shared) or shared, it cannot be changed at a later time.
Instead of picking individual names from the contact list, users can also directly type the name of the contact for easy lookup.
User can create a single category or multiple categories one after another without going back to the category list each time.
